Job Summary
The Director of Surgical and Procedural Services provides company-wide operational oversight and direction for: the operatories; procedural suites; OrthoVirginia's involvement in provision of surgical services, inpatient and outpatient. Provides direction to ensure operatories are meeting regulatory requirements as well as growth, operational and strategic objectives. Ensures all areas are compliant with the established policies, procedures and standards of OrthoVirginia, and helps to set and update applicable operational and performance standards. Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations. The Director leads associated committee meetings and reports regularly to state and regional leadership. Partners with other leaders to promote safety, quality and outstanding patient experience.
Primary Functions and Accountabilities
Oversees and provides operational leadership and guidance to the operatories and procedural suites.
Builds strong relationships with physicians, leadership and management in support of company's vision.
Responsible for building and maintaining positive employee relationships and driving employee engagement while leading the operatory and procedural teams in successful execution of goals.
Optimizes staff performance and technical expertise through clearly defined objectives, training, skill development and performance evaluation.
Coordinates committee meetings, agendas and minutes.
Facilitates monthly operational reporting.
Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with regional Executive Directors to meet regional goals.
Works collaboratively to organize and implement statewide initiatives with the goal of standardizing processes and reducing variation across the practice.
Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with other ancillary department leaders.
Responsible for optimizing patient access in operatory and procedural centers.
Responsible for the development of the operational budget.
Responsible for attainment of budget targets and variance reporting with corrective action plans.
Support the goal of improving the overall financial success of the practice.
Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in business or related field. Degree in Nursing preferred
10-15 years of successfully demonstrated operational experience with progressively higher levels of responsibility.
