South Bend Medical Foundation, a multi-specialty anatomic pathology practice and blood bank, seeks a forward-thinking, dynamic and transformative President to lead our evolving organization. Reporting to our Board of Directors, the President will hold the responsibility of designing, developing and implementing a strategic plan to ensure the success of the South Bend Medical Foundation’s clinical, financial and overall operating performance. This highly visible position works closely with executive leadership of area hospitals and clinics.
Founded in 1912 by a group of physicians, the South Bend Medical Foundation is a pillar in the Northern Indiana healthcare community. Since the beginning, we have remained the local, trusted resource for hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, physicians, and healthcare providers.
We seek a business-minded medical professional, preferably a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy. Successful candidate must possess an MBA with 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience managing healthcare operations. Experience working with physician groups is a plus. Must be a strategic thinker who can work collaboratively to identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational challenges.
As an anatomic pathology reference laboratory and blood bank, South Bend Medical Foundation renders pathology diagnoses and blood products to health care organizations throughout the region.
South Bend, Indiana is in the heart of a bustling university community and is conveniently located within 2 hours of Chicago and less than 1 hour from beautiful Lake Michigan.
