This position involves managing the overall operations of the unit, including strategically developing short and long-term goals with specific attention to high-quality patient care. In collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, you’ll:
Plan, implement and evaluate systems for the delivery of care following ANAs/AHA’s nursing principles
Manage and lead all nursing personnel operations, including hiring, orientation, training/mentoring, evaluation/competency reviews, and retention
Establish new policies and update existing policies/procedures to meet all regulatory requirements and improve the standard of care for patients
Participate in QI and PI activities to ensure an efficient and safe working environment
The qualified professional must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s preferred
Current NYS RN license and BCLS certification
Minimum of 3-5 years’ progressive leadership experience in a similar role
Knowledge of related accreditation, licensing, and certification requirements
In-depth knowledge of legal policies and regulations in the healthcare industry
Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures
