Surgery Center of Southern Oregon (SCSO), seeks an experienced candidate to lead our organization. This chief executive role is responsible for all financial & operational aspects of leading the ASC. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and works collaboratively with the Medical Director and Board Chair.

Founded in 1995 this joint-ventured ASC is the premier multi-specialty ASC in the region and one of the largest and most successful centers in the Pacific NW. SCSO has 5 O.R.’s, 2 Procedure Rooms, and 4 GI suites, and performs about 15,000 cases annually. SCSO combines the best technology, treatment, advanced surgery techniques and physician expertise to provide outstanding patient care in a convenient, friendly, and efficient outpatient setting that is highly cost effective.

Medford, Oregon is located in the heart of the beautiful Rogue River Valley of Southern Oregon, full of recreational and cultural opportunities. The area boasts include downhill skiing 40 minutes from town, whitewater rafting out our other door, Tony award winning theatre at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, the highly acclaimed Britt Festival summer concerts in Jacksonville, Award winning wineries and amazing vineyards, hiking, biking, golf, tennis, and Southern Oregon University. Our weather is generally mild and relatively dry. This area is a wonderful place to live and raise a family.

Located in the mountain valley of Medford, Oregon about ½ way between San Francisco and Portland on I-5 the Rogue Valley boasts a robust airport. Medford is a tertiary care center for Southern Oregon and Northern California.

The successful candidate will be an operationally skilled, strategically focused Executive Director with excellent financial, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Required:

• Five or more years of health management in an ASC or administrator of an independent surgical practice
• Bachelor’s degree in business or management
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skill
• Successful experience with team leadership, physician, and Board of Director relations.

Desirable Additional Qualifications:

• RN with 5 years of OR or PACU experience
• Certified Ambulatory Surgery Center Certification (CASC from ASCA) or Fellow from American College of Healthcare Executives
• MBA or MHA
