Medical Director New Hampshire Hospital - Concord, NH
Dartmouth Health's Department of Psychiatry, in a unique collaboration with the State of New Hampshire, seeks a full-time Medical Director. This position will be based primarily at New Hampshire Hospital, our affiliated state psychiatric facility, located in Concord, NH.
In this role, the Director of General Medical Services will lead a department comprised of primary care physicians and nurse practitioners, responsible for the diagnosis and management of co-morbid medical problems among psychiatric patients. There are opportunities to become involved in research, including services research focused on the development of innovative models for the delivery of mental health care.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician, enthusiastic teacher, and leader, with a strong interest and experience in Primary Care and Psychiatry. Candidates should be board certified (or eligible) in Internal or Family Medicine with three years (or equivalent) experience. Academic rank at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and salary will be commensurate with experience.
