ABOUT THIS OUTSTANDING INTERIM OPPORTUNITY
6+ month assignment
Oversees the operations of the health plans credentialing team to develop, manage, and monitor processes and procedures that support the credentialing, re-credentialing, expirable, and delegated credentialing processes
Responsible for physician credentialing processes for all in-house and network physicians.
Participates in the development and review of Health Plan operating policies and procedures; develops, recommends, and/or implements changes, revisions, and enhancements as appropriate to the current operating environment
Coordinates the management of the credentialing database and associated applications, ensuring the accuracy of data and reporting to downstream systems
Directs the credentialing process for all managed NCQA and CMS accreditation standards, Federal and State Laws, and health system policies
Ensures credentialing processes comply with plan requirements and standards, bylaws, state and federal requirements, and the appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Interacts with physicians, health plans, and hospitals to resolve credentialing issues
Ensures compliance with the appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies
Monitors and reports turnaround times for processing of applications, with a focus on the delivery of a high-quality product with the greatest efficiency
Advises leadership on changing regulatory requirements
Serves as liaison between health plans and health system to support departments in the resolution of issues related to credentialing and plan participation

Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM), Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS), or Provider Enrollment Certification (PESC) preferred
Minimum of 7 years of comparable credentialing and provider enrollment leadership experience
Extensive knowledge of NCQA and other credentialing standards
Responsible for physician credentialing processes for all in-house and network physicians
Well-organized and disciplined, with the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities efficiently
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
Extensive experience with credentialing software systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Outstanding communication skills, diplomacy, good listening capability, strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Available to travel to the client site and work a full-time schedule, M - F, or as needed
