Hudson Valley Hospice is looking for a qualified, experienced Human Resources Professional for our Assistant Vice President position. This position will work very closely with the Vice President of Human Resources, along with the HR Generalist role. You will be responsible for ensuring that the HR department is operating as efficiently as possible, while handling any day to day functions. The Assistant Vice President of Human Resources will work with the Executive Team to handle any employee relations issues, HR concerns or matters that involve HR law/regulation. We are seeking someone who is compassionate, diplomatic and can see the vision of Hudson Valley Hospice.
Who we are looking for:
Exhibits strong knowledge of HR law, regulations and employee relations
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
At least 5 years' experience in upper level HR management role; experience working closely Executive staff and Board members
SHRM Certified preferred
Experience is healthcare setting preferred
Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on employee relations
Innovative thinker with ability to recognize the HR balance between the employer and employees.
