Medical Director – Franciscan Physician Network – Northern Indiana Ministry

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Franciscan Physician Network is seeking an experienced physician Medical Director with at least 3 years of experience required in Senior Management healthcare administration and physician practice management direction to lead the medical group in our Northern Indiana Ministry. This position will provide oversight and direction for the Franciscan Northern Indiana network which is comprised of almost 300 physicians and 150 advanced practice providers and will be based out of Munster, Crown Point or Michigan City, Indiana.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Seek new patient care opportunities and services, new business opportunities and potential joint ventures to expand the regional Franciscan presence
Work with Operations to establish a facility plan for current and future local Franciscan Physician Network (FPN) locations and a capital investment plan for expenditures for technology and equipment
Participate in community, business and public relations activities and marketing campaigns
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key area healthcare decision-makers
Work with Administrative Director of Operations to provide the leadership and communication to assure that the business operations of local Franciscan Physician Network practices are effective and efficient
Develop a staffing plan for the physician practices that address present and future needs and develop an effective plan for physician and advanced practice provider recruitment, orientation and retention
Ensure local Franciscan Physician Network’s compliance with state and federal regulatory bodies and AAAHC, HFAP, NCQA, state department of health and all other regulatory and accrediting agencies governing Healthcare
Encourage the Franciscan physicians to actively participate as members of the facility medical staff including volunteering for committee responsibilities and other activities to further the mission of Franciscan Alliance
Maintain a comprehensive quality program for Franciscan Physician Network that ensures high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction, is grounded in FPN’s performance improvement philosophy and principles, and adheres to the FPN’s annual Performance Improvement Plan’s indicators and goals
Ensure the development and implementation of quality monitoring, reporting, analysis and improvement systems for functional measures that are linked to FPN’s goals
Contribute to the development of strategic and financial goals for the local FPN through the creation of policy and program initiatives, including long-range financial planning and branding and marketing strategies, to assure the continued success and growth of FPN
Serve as a member of the FPN Leadership Council
Develop and manage the system function area budget as applicable; develop and enforce system area policies
QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate Required (M.D. or D.O.) and
Master's Degree Required (MHA, MH, MBA, or MMM) or
3 years Senior management role in healthcare administration Required and
5 years Directing physician practice management services Required
Physician License (DR.) - Required and
Board Certification (BRD CERT) - Required and
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Required
