Role Purpose
This Software Developer role supports both existing and new reporting / analytics capabilities in a large, Clinical Data Warehouse environment. This is a hands-on technology role. This person will work directly with architects, analytics / reporting developers and end users from the BJC clinical community to understand data integration requirements. This person will work in a cross-functional manner with project team members from across the organization to understand and clarify requirements, articulate design considerations, test solutions and deliver production code using standard toolsets.
Responsibilities
Responsible for designing and developing code that supports data integration among the clinical systems to the enterprise data warehouse at BJC. This requires adherence and contribution to the coding standards for the team, as well as participating in regular code reviews and requirements gathering.
Supports the production environment on a rotating basis with the other team members. This includes responding to production incidents, working incident tickets to resolution and following up with internal stakeholders for those issues.
Responsible for creation and ongoing maintenance of system and code documentation according to the standards established by the team and its architects.
Responsible for performing deployment activities necessary to promote new or updated code from Dev to UAT, and UAT to Production, according to the processes defined and in place by the team.
Responsible for creation and execution of test cases that exercise any new or updated code base developed that will be deployed to production.
