The group began as a small radiology practice in 1951 on Market Street in downtown Redding, is today a thriving physician partnership offering diagnostic imaging, womens imaging, and vascular & Interventional services. They continue to serve as a community leader by bringing many medical firsts to the North State and area, such as the MammoTest II non-surgical breast biopsy, positron emission tomography (PET), Open MRI, 3D mammography, and our recently installed CT and ultrasound machines.
Mercy Medical Center Redding is a 266 acute care licensed-bed hospital, at the heart of the community in Redding California. It is the premier hospital in Northern California, with a trauma level II designation.

Job Summary:
Must be board certified or board-eligible Interventional radiologist
Full spectrum IR procedures in the hospital, with an opportunity for service line growth
Outpatient venous access and vain procedures
All facilities are located within 10 minutes of one another
Excellent working relationships with medical and surgical sub-specialists in the community
1:4 call with no diagnostic or stroke responsibilities
Partnership or non-partnership models available
Internal moonlighting opportunities

Community Description
The North State refers to the geographical area between Sacramento and the Oregon border, which encompasses a third of the land mass of California. Redding enjoys more than 300 sunny days per year the second sunniest city in the United States.
The North State area is a tourist destination for many different attractions. If you prefer to get lost in the wilderness the Trinity Alps have breathtaking hikes, along with many other throughout the area. Mt. Shasta has many attractions from the beautiful mountain itself to the ski park. Shasta Lake and Whiskeytown Lake are amazing lakes for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing and jet skiing. The Sundial Bridge was engineered by world renowned Spanish architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava. The North State is a hidden gem.

It is centrally located for travel up and down the west coast. Redding is two hours from Sacramento, two and a half hours from Medford, Oregon, and three and a half hours from San Francisco.
Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers and the only Level III neonatal ICU north of Sacramento. Mercy Medical Center Redding is a 266-bed regional medical center providing inpatient and outpatient services as well as specialized cardiovascular care, stroke care, orthopedics, neurological surgery, comprehensive cancer care, maternity care, and a robust robotic surgery program. In addition, the hospitals network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living, which serves nearly 72,000 meals a year. The medical staff has over 250 active members who partner with skilled professionals, support staff and helpful volunteers to provide innovative medical services to the North State communities. Mercy serves as a local community hospital as well as a referral center for a vast region from the Oregon border two hours north, halfway to Sacramento (two hours to the south), east to Nevada and west to the Pacific Ocean.
