Position Summary:
The Privacy & Civil Rights Analyst is responsible for supporting the overall success of the Privacy and Civil Rights programs, as well as the organization’s Compliance and Ethics program. The Analyst will have knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to health care, with specific knowledge in privacy and patient rights regulations. The Analyst will support the system Privacy & Civil Rights Programs with primary responsibilities related to civil rights compliance consulting, development and implementation of a civil rights compliance program in coordination with leadership, and privacy investigations within the variety of unique entity relationships that MultiCare contains. The Privacy & Civil Rights Analyst serves as a role model for ethical behavior and promotes awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the MultiCare mission, vision and values, as well as those required by federal and state law.

Minimum Requirements:
Five (5) years of healthcare experience required
Three (3) years of relevant privacy, patient rights, compliance, human resource, or legal experience working directly with state & federal regulatory agencies

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance), CHPC (Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Compliance), or equivalent certification preferred (SHRP, other privacy, quality or investigative designation); if not certified, will be required to obtain certification within one year of hire date.
ADAC (ADA Coordinator) certification; willingness to start process for certification within first 100 days of employment required if not currently certified
