You Will Be Responsible For:
Responsible for planning and implementing Foundation Special Events and Annual Giving Program in support of AdventHealth Lake Placid, Sebring and Wauchula Foundations. Works in close collaboration with internal and external constituencies to expand fund development opportunities in Highlands, Hardee, Desoto and Polk counties.
In conjunction with Foundation Executive Director, the Specialist assists with the planning and execution of Foundation events including sponsorships, marketing, event logistics and Foundation volunteer recruitment.
Assists with Gala planning/coordination and responsible for corporate and individual sponsorships and all event logistics and details.
Plans and tracks event logistics for foundation events (i.e.: securing venue, reviewing vendor contracts and proof of insurance, van/truck rentals)
Archive print media and ads from various events
Meeting preparation, to include but not limited to; board notifications, preparation of board packets to include agenda, financials, minutes, and talking points
Implement, attend, direct and oversee on-site needs to events/programs
Prepare and coordinate all appropriate personal stewardship following events
Develops invitation details and maintains event attendance lists
Upkeep of Sponsorship Agreements and assists with post-event feedback
Presents naming opportunities and giving levels to donors and follows up with appropriate recognition.
Engages Board of Directors to identify and cultivate major donors, including correspondence and in-person meetings.
Assists with the implementation of annual giving program.
Must have the ability to research prospects, balance workload, make appropriate independent decisions and develop alliances with others as valuable resources while respecting differences that bring versatility to the organization.
This position requires a highly organized individual with a positive attitude who actively participates in providing outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Ability to recruit and train large groups of office and day-of-event volunteers
Maintains and updates internal database systems and ensures that gifts are properly recorded and acknowledged. (Raisers Edge)
Organize and engage in the cultivation and stewardship of donors through personal contact including face to face meetings, phone calls, and written correspondence.
Work with the Executive Director to successfully implement grateful patients and employee giving programs and strategies including recognizing potential donors or friends of the foundation and either cultivating or referring them to a Development Officer for cultivation.
Work closely with the Executive Director to research and prepare grants; maintains grant schedule and grant reporting activities.
Prepares/updates profiles on potential individual, corporate and foundation prospects for gift officers of the Foundation, translating data into actionable knowledge.

Job Summary:
The Development and Donor Relations Specialist is to serve as the Specialist for the entire "Foundationâ department. Primary responsibility is to aid the department in the day to day operation, and to help ensure donors stay connected with the organization and assists with fundraising/solicitation activities under the direction of Foundation leadership. Responsibilities include assuring a smooth flow of information and programs between the Foundation, other Hospital departments, and the community, as well as coordinating events and presentations. A track record of success in managing projects, working with databases, and organizing/analyzing data and information. Must be a strong fit for a fast-paced, organized team and will be able to contribute to improve our programs/initiatives.
