Position Summary: The Supervisor of Perioperative Scheduling is responsible for daily operations of Perioperative Scheduling throughout the West Pierce Region to ensure efficient business operations and data integrity of patient information as it relates to surgery coordination and patient data entry. The incumbent provides direct supervision of assigned staff; assists with system-wide maintenance build decisions; manages surgical scheduling transitions; conducts principle training for all new EPIC/OpTime go-lives within the system; builds/maintains case volumes; serves as the liaison between surgeon offices and the MHS Perioperative Scheduling Department; serves as the MHS Surgical Services Scheduling Advisor in all areas and reports on Operating Room utilization, and case volume variances.
Minimum Requirements: Five (5) years administrative/perioperative scheduling experience with proficiency in database applications Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacity Five (5) years of experience in an Operating Room environment highly preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Associates degree in related field or 2 years of applicable work experience
